Feb. 6
10:55 p.m. – Caller said a careless and reckless driver was westbound on US 62 and turning onto Hwy. 23S. Officers were unable to locate.
11:40 p.m. – A front door alarm at a highway business was activated. The building was checked and secure, and it was deemed a false alarm.
Feb. 7
4:25 p.m. – A female was arrested at a traffic stop for driving on a suspended license.
Feb. 8
2:13 a.m. – Caller on Hayes St. said his security camera detected motion and he requested a welfare check on his house. Officers found the house secure, saw no one inside and no one in the area.
7:56 a.m. – Officer did a welfare check on a female and her children staying at a hotel. They were all fine.
10:51 a.m. – Officer responded to a residence on Martz Circle in reference to a complaint from a neighbor about trees being cut down.
Feb. 9
9:37 a.m. – Officer took a report on Main St. for an incident that occurred at a restaurant.
12:39 p.m. – A report for theft from a bank account was taken.
8:30 p.m. – A male was arrested at a traffic stop on E. Van Buren for driving on a suspended license.
9:30 p.m. – A female flagged an officer down and said there was another female crying. The crier was located and assisted to a hotel for the night.
10:40 p.m. – The sheriff’s office got a call regarding two men arguing on Mountain St. Responding officers found no one arguing.
Feb. 10
7:59 p.m. –The sheriff’s office reported a 911 open line. The responding officer found that all was OK.
10:19 p.m. – Loud music was reported on Pivot Rock Rd. The music player was contacted and agreed to turn it down for the night.
Feb. 11
12:27 a.m. – Caller was trying to locate her husband who was last seen downtown. She said she did not believe he was in any danger. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate him but said they would keep in touch with the caller.
3:09 a.m. – A welfare check was performed on an employee at a Spring St. business.
Also, there were 89 requests for extra patrol; 27 traffic stops; 3 domestic altercations; 2 suspicious people; 1 gas drive off; 4 parking issues; 2 animal complaints; 1 illegal dumping; 1 sex offender registry; 1 question about weather; and 1 sales call.
