July 25

4:18 a.m. – When a downtown alarm went off the building was searched and found secure.

July 26

2 a.m. – Officer on patrol saw people inside a closed business, made contact, and found they were working on the business overnight.

11:41 a.m. – A report of a reckless driver coming into town put officers on alert, but the driver was not located.

12:07 p.m. – A subject downtown was acting strangely and had multiple guns inside a vehicle. Officers made contact, everything checked out, and the man was advised to store his weapons better.

4:15 p.m. – A female went to ESPD in reference to a child custody issue. Officers made contact and a report was taken.

July 27

1:15 a.m. – A highway business was broken into, and a report taken.

8:49 a.m. – A downtown commercial business alarm went off, the building was checked with the keyholder, all was secure and there was no report.

9:46 a.m. – A female was reported for being aggressive toward people walking through Basin Park. When officers checked, she was not to be found.

9:57 a.m. – Two pit bulls running loose at Black Bass Lake were rounded up and taken to ESPD.

10:34 a.m. – Two subjects walking down the road got into a spat, verbal not physical, and were advised to separate for the day. They did.

10:37 a.m. – A dispute at a highway motel was resolved when everyone calmed down.

10:38 a.m. – A business alarm came in and was cancelled but officers checked the building anyway and found everything was as it should be.

11:23 a.m. – Officers followed up on juveniles’ welfare check and found them to be fine, so there was no report.

11:47 a.m. – A subject was being harassed via phone by his child’s mother. A report was taken.

12:07 p.m. – An alarm at an ATM was cancelled before arrival and there was no report.

3:24 a.m. – At the court’s request, officers went to a residence to perform a welfare check on juveniles. They were fine. A report was taken.

3:38 p.m. – Caller said a truck hauling a vehicle on a trailer didn’t look secure. It was checked and was fine.

3:40 p.m. – ESPD responded to assist CCSO with serving papers.

6:24 p.m. – An employee received an alarm notice and wanted ESPD to check it out. Both doors were secure, and there were no busted windows nor any evidence of a break in.

9:17 p.m. – A citizen reported hearing noises from a closed business, so it was checked and it was fine.

July 28

9:39 a.m. – An open 911 was checked and no distress was found.

7:33 a.m. – A woman was arrested at a routine traffic stop.

10:42 a.m. – Officers on patrol witnessed an accident and took a report.

12::05 p.m. – A report was taken for a criminal mischief.

12:36 p.m. – A report was taken for a private property accident.

2:21 p.m. – A motel worker called about a man walking but unable to fully stand. Officers made contact and his family picked him up.

6:53 p.m. – A disturbance report was checked.

8:13 p.m. – Caller heard sounds of people fighting and throwing things around at a downtown hotel. All units responded and the people left the hotel.

9:19 p.m. – The parties in a domestic disturbance were separated.

10:43 p.m. – A man was arrested at a routine traffic stop.

July 30

12:43 a.m. – Officers on patrol arrested a man on outstanding warrants.

2:54 a.m. – Officers on patrol spotted and arrested a man on outstanding warrants and local charges.

3:16 a.m. – Caller asked for assistance getting into a hotel room where water was running and flooding other rooms and the guest was not responding. Officers responded, the guest was awakened, and the water turned off.

8:02 a.m. – An alarm was traced back to an employee who entered the wrong password.

12:08 p.m. – A two-vehicle, minor accident downtown got a report.

1:49 p.m. – Officers responded to a residence where the neighbors were trying to remove the caller from his girlfriend’s rental house. This was a civil dispute and there was no report.

July 31

12:17 a.m. – Officers were dispatched to a motel where the music was too loud. They went out three times but heard no loud music.

1:26 a.m. – Officers were called to a domestic on Spring St., and when they arrived the male took off running.

7:34 a.m. – A reported gas leak drew ESPD and ESFD in, but the leak was not detected.

5:48 p.m. – Someone hit another car in the courthouse lot, then took off. Report taken.

7:03 p.m. – A rider in a motorcycle accident said he was disoriented but OK. ESPD and EMS showed up.

8:58 p.m. – There was a report about a man staggering across the road and entering a roadhouse patio through a screen door, then eating some food on a back deck and leaving.

9:54 p.m. – Caller said his chainsaw and quarters were missing, and gas was gone from his gas cans.

11:07 p.m. – Caller said someone was violating a protection order and is talking to her.

August 1

3:45 a.m. – Caller said she had a big scratch on her car, and she believed she knew who did it. Officer took a report.

6:32 p.m. – An alarm was cancelled before arrival.

8:53 p.m. – ESFD asked ESPD for assistance when a motel room door malfunctioned and locked people in their room. Firemen and cops got the door open.

10:06 p.m. – A property manager told ESPD that people were being loud after the designated quiet time. Officer didn’t find anyone being loud but agreed to doing extra patrol throughout the night.

10:48 p.m. – Officer assisted CCSO in reference to a suspicious woman.
