8:13 a.m. – A two-vehicle accident on the west edge of town required a report.
11:36 a.m. –A man pulled over at a traffic stop for speeding and no insurance was arrested on an outstanding ESPD warrant.
3:08 p.m. – A business alarm was accidentally excited.
4:23 p.m. – A breaking and entering report was taken at a downtown business.
9:07 p.m. – Caller from a Van Buren business called about a man staggering out by the highway who needed to be tended before he got run over. He was arrested and taken to the county jail.
February 18
12:37 a.m. – Caller said he hit a deer in front of Pizza Hut and needed a report for insurance. Officer removed the deer from the road and wrote a report.
3:23 p.m. – Officer assisted a citizen on E. Van Buren.
4:07 p.m. – A residential alarm was checked and the property was secure.
7:16 p.m. – A suspicious person on Ridgeway was reported at the same address that the alarm went off earlier.
10:36 p.m. – A disturbance at a business required an officer to separate the two parties and no report was needed.
February 19
3 a.m. – Officer was called to a domestic disturbance to assist a male who was taken to the hospital, then to ESPD for a probationary hold.
4:54 a.m. – Suspicious people were reported on Spring St.
6:45 p.m. – Officer responded to a welfare concern.
11:53 p.m. – A woman asked for an officer to talk to her son because she was worried about his welfare, and that was done.
February 20
1:12 p.m. – A woman who walked into the ESPD lobby was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
4:44 p.m. – An injured deer wasn’t where it was reported to be.
February 21
10:35 a.m. – Officers transported a reported suicidal woman to ESH.
5:19 p.m. – Officer checked a residential open door but there was no break-in report.
5:39 p.m. – A welfare concern at US 62 and Passion Play Rd. was conducted.
8:25 p.m. – Officers made contact on a different welfare concern.
9:58 p.m. – A disturbance at a hotel was dealt with.
9:59 p.m. – A possibly homeless man walked up to a residence on Oil Spring Rd. and an officer responded.
10:26 p.m. – A man was arrested after a disturbance at a motel.
February 22
12:48 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle on Center St. was checked and officer made contact and the subject left the area.
2:36 p.m. – A traffic problem on Cliff St. resulted in a citation.
4:03 p.m. – An avoidable traffic noose at Wall and Armstrong resulted in a citation.
4:20 p.m. – Officer assisted a citizen on N. Main.
6:35 p.m. – An officer was alerted to a possibly intoxicated driver on W. Van Buren, then located and arrested him.
6:38 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported and pulled over.
February 23
12:24 a.m. – Officers responded to ESH and arrested a man for domestic battery.
2:52 a.m. – A resident requested assistance in dealing with a neighbor.
9:10 a.m. – A phone report was taken on a Friday night incident.
9:31 a.m. – A one-vehicle accident on US 62 got a report.
2:58 p.m. – A man in a new Dodge truck ran through barricades. ESFD asked an officer to ticket the man who admitted he was on his phone at the time.
8:21 p.m. – A man was arrested for driving on a suspended license and no proof of insurance.
9:58 p.m. – Officer checked with a woman who said she heard yelling and somebody saying, “Stop it.”
