July 22

8:57 a.m. – Officer responded to a motel where an individual was staying in a room with another person and neither was supposed to be there. Officer spoke with all parties and there was no report.

11:19 a.m. – A dispute at a motel was settled.

July 23

5:50 p.m. – A front door alarm at a business alerted responsible parties to check and the business was secure.

6:08 p.m. – A belligerent woman who was reported to be screaming and cussing at a sales clerk, then at the children in her vehicle, could not be located. Caller said she also threatened to hit a passenger.

6:45 p.m. – Store clerk said a customer’s vehicle was hit by a white GMC SUV in the parking lot but he left the scene headed west on 62. Then the complainant said it was an Infinity SUV and the driver smelled strongly of alcohol. Nevertheless, neither vehicle was located.

July 24

6:56 a.m. – Officers responded to a motel to assist a parole officer in the arrest of an absconder.

8:35 a.m. – Officer responded to the middle school in reference to a theft.

9:32 a.m. – An alarm was accidentally set off by an employee.

11:25 a.m. – A theft report was taken at a motel.

3:14 p.m. – A dog owner was warned to keep the dog from running loose.

5:01 p.m. – Officer assisted a motorist.

6:03 p.m. – An accident on Nova St. did not require a report.

7:53 p.m. – A parking issue on Elk St. needed official guidance to be resolved.

July 25

8:06 a.m. – Caller reported an erratic driver they had been trailing but ESPD was unable to find a vehicle matching the description.

1:28 p.m. – A traffic stop for driving violations turned up a woman with an outstanding Madison County warrant.

3:21 p.m. – Officer issued two parking citations by the post office.

4:40 p.m. – An individual went to ESPD to report an accident.

July 26

12:34 a.m. – Officer assisted a guest at a resort.

1:42 a.m. – An alarm at McDonald’s merited a response.

10:22 a.m. – Someone at a business reported someone else for taking advantage of their dumpster.

11:22 a.m. – A possibly intoxicated male was reported walking west on US62 but officer did not locate anyone matching that description.

2:07 p.m. – A harassment report was taken in the ESPD lobby.

10:35 p.m. – Officer checked a motel for a possible trespasser.

July 27

12:14 a.m. – An officer’s clear head was requested in a downtown dispute.

12:40 a.m. – A disturbance near a downtown bar was reported and quelled.

1:20 a.m. – A suspicious male was reported in the same area.

2:18 a.m. – An alarm went off at a highway fast food restaurant.

2:39 a.m. – Officer assisted a citizen at a downtown business.

10:59 a.m. – A guest needed to talk to an officer, who did talk with the guest and the business owner, and a report was taken.

11:50 a.m. – Someone at a business said a motorcycle was parked in the way and no one was around so would an officer please take care of it?

1:36 p.m. – A daughter called about abuse from her mother where she was staying, and an officer was apprised of the situation.

8:43 p.m. – An accident on E. Van Buren required a report.

July 28

1:36 a.m. – An intoxicated driver was reported on the far east side.

1:37 a.m. – Officer responded to Gaskin Switch area for a welfare concern for a motorist.

2:29 a.m. – A man was arrested downtown for public intox.

3:38 a.m. – A business alarm went off.

3:07 p.m. – A husband called and said he needed help getting his wife back home, she took off walking and he couldn’t get her to come back. Officer found and calmed her, and another officer went to get the husband, who got her and took her home.

3:41 p.m. – A lady called saying there were three vehicles on the road in the way and it was dangerous and one car had a flat. Officers went there and the tire got fixed and they left.

5:07 p.m. – An alarm was dealt with.

6:14 p.m. – An officer was called to the PD to talk with a woman who wanted a report for the service she had provided. He took her report and talked to others who were involved and had them fill out reports, also.

7:11 p.m. – Officer requested to help another officer who was following a vehicle into town.

7:35 p.m. – A man called and said he didn’t want an officer to come yet, he just wanted to report getting the same guy at his business hassling him. Said he’d call back tomorrow if they guy showed back up and he needed help.

8:30 p.m. – Caller wanted someone to help at his business where a man and lady were in the parking lot fighting. They were gone on arrival.

9:46 p.m. – A domestic dispute at an RV park required an officer who found the female had an outstanding ESPD warrant, so she was arrested.

11:14 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle in a service station parking lot at closing time got the attention of police.

July 29

2:11 a.m. – Burglary alarm was checked.
