July 8

1:38 a.m. –When an officer responded to an alarm at a highway business, he checked the doors and windows and walked the area. Everything was as it should be.

10:41 a.m. – Officer responded to a residence for a welfare check and the individual was okay.

10:53 a.m. – Officer responded to Pivot Rock Rd. to help a motorist in distress.

9:42 p.m. – Fireworks behind an abandoned motel caught officers’ attention.

July 9

2:12 a.m. – A restaurant alarm was checked to see if it had reason to be activated.

4:01 p.m. – Officer performed a welfare concern and all was fine.

July 10

1:50 a.m. – Doors, windows and outside area of a business were checked due to an alarm.

4:04 a.m. – A vehicle at the bottom of Planer Hill had an open door and a sleeping gentleman who was arrested.

9:39 a.m. – Police went to check on an elderly woman reported walking on the highway and into a motel parking lot, but they didn’t find her.

9:53 a.m. – Caller spoke to an officer regarding his roommate who he said stole and damaged his belongings.

2:50 p.m. – Motorists needing more fluidity in their traffic circumstance on Prospect were assisted.

4:10 p.m. – A woman went to headquarters to report a lost or stolen wallet.

7:04 p.m. – A disturbance on S. Main warranted a talking-to for all involved.

9 p.m. – A reported suspicious male was contacted and turned out not to be suspicious at all.

July 11

12:57 a.m. – Building doors, windows and exterior were checked as possible clues to an active alarm.

12:43 p.m. – A small dog was reported tied to a tree in Harmon Park for the last two days but when ACO arrived the dog was no longer there.

4:31 p.m. – Officer was contacted but then not needed to assist EMS at Main and Mountain.

7:45 p.m. – A reported disturbance on Huntsville Rd. became more civil once an officer arrived.

9:54 p.m. – Officer was on the lookout for a reckless driver near the courthouse.

10:06 p.m. – A 911 hang up from Center St. was checked but no distress was heard or found.

11:28 p.m. – Following domestic disturbance call from a S. Main St. bar, a male was arrested for public intox.

July 12

2:18 a.m. – A restaurant alarm was checked but there was no cause for alarm.

1:07 p.m. – Caller requested a car be ticketed for parking in his reserved spot, so it was.

2:10 p.m. – Caller described snarled traffic at Owen and White but it turned out to be not so.

5:08 p.m. – A traffic accident on E. Van Buren required a report.

8:44 p.m. – A reported disturbance on Pine revealed nothing.

10:29 p.m. – Officer went to a motel to find the driver of a vehicle left on the property.

10:53 p.m. – Officer assisted EMS with a patient.

11:31 p.m. – Officer checked the east city limits and Magnetic Spring Rd. and N. Main for an overdue motorist.

July 13

1 a.m. – The man who was not with his vehicle at the 10:29 call wandered in the motel lobby where he was not a guest, and was arrested for public intox.

2:02 a.m. – A 911 hang up on Linwood was checked but no trouble could be found.

7:19 a.m. – Friends were worried about a woman who had recently lost her husband because she wasn’t answering calls. She was found to be fine.

7:41 p.m. – Officer was alerted to a possibly intoxicated driver on Dairy Hollow Rd. but nothing came of that.

8:24 p.m. – An intoxicated male on Mountain was reported and no report was taken.

11:33 p.m. – Officers spoke with a man who was involved in a motel room dispute and the man assured officers that they were splitting up for the night.

July 14

4:16 a.m. – A vehicle accident at the bottom of Armstrong required attention.

8:32 a.m. – Caller said there was a young male asleep in a car downtown. Officers made contact with the father who said the child had gone to work with him last night and asked to sleep while the father hiked in nearby woods.

9:22 a.m. – Caller said a business was not open but the door was unlocked, so officers advised the owner to lock the door.

3:30 p.m. – Caller said he walks his dog on a leash everyday but there’s a lady who lets her dogs out without leashes on the same street, same time, same days, and it’s a problem.

4:08 p.m. – Caller said people were yelling and a baby was crying and it sounded like gunshots. Officer found a family out in the yard and little ones running around playing.

11:23 p.m. – A traffic stop revealed a driver who was arrested on a Green Forest warrant.

July 15

3:12 a.m. – Officer responded to Hayes St. to check on a suspicious vehicle.
