April 9
4:24 p.m. – Concerned witness asked for a constable to check on a person yelling and swearing at dogs. Constable complied and everything checked out okay.
April 10
9:01 a.m. – Constable investigated a suspicious person in a neighborhood above downtown.
9:57 a.m. – Passerby reported an individual standing beside US 62 waving his fist at drivers. Constable spoke to him and o report was necessary.
11:50 a.m. – There was a disturbance at a motel, but constables determined it was all verbal.
5:30 p.m. – CCSO asked for constable assistance surveilling a location just outside city limits. Constable reported the vehicle in question was gone but CCSO cautioned the person might return. A deputy was called to participate.
6:07 p.m. – Juvenile was spotted climbing a rock wall near downtown but the responding constable never encountered her.
8:12 p.m. – A 911 hang-up call originated downtown, but constables did not find anything out of the ordinary in the area.
April 11
4:35 a.m. – Constable checked out the area of another 911 hang-up call and again found nothing to report.
6:57 a.m. – Traffic stop resulted in the arrest of one person on an outstanding warrant.
8:57 a.m. – Someone accidentally set off the hold-up alarm at a business.
10:39 a.m. – Guest at a motel reported being threatened.
3:43 p.m. – Owner of a business asked for a constable regarding credit card fraud. She asked the problem guests to leave and told constable she would call back if there were further problems.
5:01 p.m. – Constables confronted a trespasser and warned her future transgressions would result in arrest.
5:52 p.m. – Skateboarder was reportedly scooting down the middle of Main Street blocking traffic. Constable did not encounter him.
8:56 p.m. – Constable followed up on a report of loose and unattended dogs just east of downtown but did not find any.
9:17 p.m. – On the east end of town, dump truck driver needed constable assistance managing traffic while the truck was being parked in a lot.
April 12
1:16 a.m. – Someone complained about loud music on North Main.
7:53 a.m. – Residential burglary alarm rang out, but the constable found the residence secure.
10:13 a.m. – Someone at a tourist lodging accidentally called 911.
12:29 p.m. – And another 911 hang-up call from a different tourist lodging.
2:14 p.m. – Caller claimed minstrels on a downtown street were being too loud, but the constable on patrol was able to get the volume adjusted.
2:15 p.m. – Constable witnessed a traffic violation and initiated a traffic stop. As a result, one person was arrested for driving on a suspended license and another was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
4:54 p.m. – Guest at a motel was reportedly yelling a cursing loudly. He had returned to his room and calmed down before constables arrived.
11:32 p.m. – Constable stood by while a building was secured.
11:53 p.m. – Vehicle landed in a ditch and a constable responded to the scene.
April 13
12:07 a.m. – A 911 hang-up call from a motel prompted a visit from the constable who found nothing to report.
April 14
1:43 p.m. – Constable filed a report of someone kicking in the door of an apartment.
3:55 p.m. – Report came in of a van possibly being driven downtown by a person driving on a suspended license. Constable did not locate the vehicle.
4:17 p.m. – Constable went to a tourist lodging because of an auto burglary. However, after the constable arrived, the victim left the premises, so no report was filed at the time.
April 15
1:10 a.m. – Someone damaged the front lobby of a motel.
4:40 a.m. – Constable checked on a reportedly suspicious vehicle near downtown.
12:35 p.m. – A parked vehicle temporarily blocked traffic downtown.
7:42 p.m. – Constable arrested an individual on an ESPD warrant for failure to appear.
April 16
1:16 a.m. – Constables responded to a report of suspicious vehicles in a bank parking lot.
