Clifton “Cliff” Davis made his last wildly inappropriate and probably sarcastic comment on Dec. 31, 2020.
Cliff was born and immediately dubbed “my favorite child” to Louise Davis in July 1952. Her constant love, support and caring far exceeded anything he could have imagined.
He is survived by his much older brother Mike Davis of (whythehelldoyoustilllivethere) Fresno, Calif., and his slightly older sister Chris Moffatt of Fairbanks, Alaska. A variety of nieces and nephews complete the list of those left to embellish his memory.
Cliff’s employment history was highlighted with 29 years at Ermilio’s in Eureka Springs, Ark. He had two basic philosophies regarding work – “careers are for the unimaginative” and “surround yourself with great people and stay out of their way.”
His regrets were few but include eating a rotisserie hot dog from a convenience store in the summer of 1996, and not training his faithful dog “Bella” to scratch her own behind.
Although he lived an average life span, Cliff did not live an average life. He traveled where he wanted to travel, laughed inappropriately at every chance, learned what he wanted to learn and loved who he wanted to love.
Cremation will take place at the family’s convenience.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Shepherd Humane Society, 6486 Hwy. 62, Eureka Springs, AR 72632 (goodshepherd-hs.org).
