Caring for each other

We witnessed Trump’s cruelty toward migrants during his presidency, with children being ripped from the arms of their mothers and separated without bothering to keep track. Now Trump plans a massive deportation program that will affect every community in America, including our own where Hispanic immigrants have become important to us. We care for their safety and value their contributions to our economy and culture.

The Supreme Court has assured in its rulings that Trump if elected would be able to do whatever he wants and get away with it. Are the people of Arkansas going to vote for this man and his opportunistic sidekick? We’re a red state in which it is assumed Democrats stand no chance.

I think we’re better than that. We’re good people who care for each other and will vote like our humanity matters. No one who supports Trump’s inhumanity deserves public office. Let us not be a red state or a blue state, but a state where we simply care for each other and vote accordingly.
