City Advertising and Promotion Commissioners met briefly last Wednesday for a special meeting regarding end-of-year bonuses for full time staff. Previously, the CAPC had agreed to allocate 1 percent of collections for end-of-year bonuses.
End-of-year bonuses are based on collections from December 2024 – November 2025 as December 2025 collections are not finalized by the time they are dispersed. Last year bonuses added up to $17,250 at .86 percent of collections. Commissioner Heather Wilson spoke highly of staff, advocating for the full use of the 1 percent allocated money for bonuses. Tourism Director Mike Maloney also spoke highly of staff saying that staff was working at “exemplary levels” and that especially during the fourth quarter staff is working beyond 100 percent. Commissioners also briefly discussed that because other A&Ps across the state pay their employees more there is a need to incentivize staff to stay here.
The commission approved $20,993 to be used for bonuses with the director choosing how that money gets allocated to the full-time staff in the office.
