CAPC budget work starting

257

Additions to 2022’s budget were unanimously approved three times during City Advertising and Promotion Commission’s Oct. 13 regular meeting.

The first was $37,257 to be allocated for installation of loudspeakers in the Auditorium. The amount is the same as a proposal by Nabholz to do the work and was originally presented by Chair Jeff Carter to the commission as an item to approve. Commissioner Harry Meyer questioned if the project would require a bidding process. Carter was not sure if the proposal and amount were within the scope of work that the city has approved for Nabholz to make to the Aud. He said he would check with the mayor.

The amount of the proposal was approved as a budget item and bids will be sought if needed.

The other two items approved to be added to the budget were marketing support for Carving in the Ozarks and website assistance for Springtime in the Ozarks. Carving in the Ozarks will be moving north of Holiday Island next year with the Victoria Inn parking area a construction zone. Five thousand dollars was the amount approved for Carving in the Ozarks. Springtime in the Ozarks was approved $2,440 in the 2022 budget. All items are still up for final review and approval at the time the 2022 budget is approved.
