Calling it illegal

Editor,

Instead of calling Trump the same names he calls us, let’s go with two names that are true and factual, and also describe his presidency – illegal.

Thief – Check out the Constitution  (Article I, Section 9, Paragraph 8) about the prohibition of two kinds of emoluments; the foreign, that is a president receiving monies, gifts, payments from foreign governments; the second, domestic, the president profiting from his position. He is only to receive a paycheck, like all government workers.

His Washington hotel is heavily booked by men seeking favors from the government and the money goes into an account managed by Don, Jr., and Eric, with Dad being able to draw on the account as he wishes.

Further, he often borrows money to continue building hotels such as the one proposed in Indonesia with $500 million borrowed from China. He is notorious for borrowing huge amounts from Russia.

Traitor – It’s not even a joke on late night TV that the American president is Putin. Trump does whatever Putin wants, never takes any action against Russia’s illegal acts (the invasion of Ukraine, et al.), and gazes adoringly at Putin whenever they are together. It is obvious that Putin is blackmailing Trump for the money borrowing or maybe the Golden Showers with the Russian prostitutes.

Thief. Traitor.

Whatever happened to honesty, commitment, transparency, empathy, accountability?
