Why aren’t we allowed to drive a car and drink alcohol? Why don’t we have the right to choose to go into a social gathering with a gun and mow down 20 or 30 people?
If I were a governor, I would be a lot stricter than Gov. Hutchinson. I would gather up all the backwoods non-compassionate and herd them onto a deserted island without caring healthcare workers, drop food by drones, and let them give the virus to each other.
That would be my version of herd immunity. We would all be immune and they would be free to continue to make their unevolved choice.
