Carroll County voters mirrored national primaries on Super Tuesday with Joe Biden edging Bernie Sanders by a dozen votes, 734 to 721. Elizabeth Warren reeled in16 more votes than Michael Bloomberg, 306-290, for third and fourth places in the Democratic primary.

Candidates who have dropped out of the race last Sunday or Monday were still on the ballot, with Pete Buttigieg reining in 120 votes to Amy Klobuchar’s 91. Cory Booker had one voter give him the nod, Julian Castro 2, Kamala Harris and Marianne Williamson each got 4, Andrew Yang doubled that at 8, and still in the race Tulsi Gabbard brought home 28.

On the Republican side, Rocky De La Fuente found 13 people in Arkansas’ 26th most populous county to give him the nod. De La Fuente is a Mexican businessman and perennial candidate who was a nominee of the Reform Party and the American Delta Party, which he created for the 2016 election until turning into a Republican. He also lost the Democratic primary for U.S. Senator in Florida.

Second in the Republican race was former Sen. William Weld of Massachusetts with 38 votes.

Donald J. Trump racked up 1,855 votes to take all the marbles for the Republican nomination.

In non-partisan races, Barbara Womack Webb trounced Chip Welch for State Supreme Court Associate Justice, 2,376 to 1,713.

Eureka Springs voted to pass the 36.13 mill school district tax, while Berryville denied a 42.5 mill school district tax.

Every single unopposed candidate won big.

Fifty-three percent of ballots cast were Democratic and 44 percent Republican.
